Core Vaccines

• Tetanus - annual booster
• Eastern and Western Equine Encephalomyelitis (EEE & WEE) - annual booster in spring, prior to vector season
• West Nile Virus (WNV) - annual booster prior to vector season
• Rabies - annual booster

Risk-based Vaccines

• Equine herpes virus (EHV) - annual booster, or semi-annual booster for at risk horses such as those on a breeding farm, also performance or show horses
• Equine influenza virus (EIV) - annual booster for low risk of exposure, or semi-annual for those with ongoing risk of exposure
• Strangles (Streptococcus equi) - annual or semi-annual booster for those with ongoing risk of exposure
